Hi, I’m Mary Jo, the owner and founder of MJ The Critter Sitter. I started this business in 2009 with the goal of providing reliable, in-home pet care that pet parents can truly trust. As a Certified Veterinary Technician, I bring years of hands-on animal care experience and a deep understanding of pets’ individual needs — from energetic puppies to senior pets and those requiring medications or extra attention.
While I remain closely involved in the day-to-day care of our clients, MJ The Critter Sitter has grown to include a small, dedicated team of sitters who share the same standards and values. Every sitter is personally vetted, background checked, and trained by me to ensure consistent, professional care. I oversee all services to make sure each visit meets the level of care I would expect for my own pets.
