 MJ The Critter Sitter is a small pet care business located in Centerville. Our goal is to provide exceptional pet care and piece of mind to pet parents while they are away from their beloved furry family members. We specialize in keeping pets safe, happy, and comfortable at home. We offer dog walking and pet sitting services for dogs, cats, & small critters.   We prioritize building strong connections with our clients, whether human or furry. • Dog Walking Position:

 MJ The Critter Sitter is on the prowl for dog walkers in our service area! We’re hunting for reliable and caring animal enthusiasts to join our fabulous team. If you’re all about fresh air, getting your steps in, and spending quality time with adorable critters, this gig is calling your name! It’s a part-time adventure, starting with a few daily walks and the chance to grow and work towards full time if you choose. Perfect for anyone who dreams of a tail-wagging career.   

• Dog walking requirements:

1. Availability to work 9am-4pm Monday-Friday and one weekend a month.
2. Able to make a long term commitment.  We are not looking for someone who can only work seasonally or looking for short term employment.
3. Must have a smart phone & computer with internet access.
4. Must have access to a reliable, insured vehicle & a valid drivers license.
5. Live in or near our service areas.
6. Flexible schedule
7. Willing to walk in all weather and be physically fit to walk in all weather.
8. Able to pass a criminal background check. Including a good driving record. 

• Pet Sitting Position:

 MJ The Critter Sitter is on the lookout for pet sitters in our service area. We seek dependable and responsible animal enthusiasts to become part of our team. If you love spending quality time with pets, this role is perfect for you! This is a part-time position, that is dependent on when our clients go our of town and are in need of multiple pet sitting visits each day they are away. It can include dog walking for dogs during these times, it would be for dogs, cats, and small critters. It's an ideal job for anyone seeking extra income beyond their 9-5, including freelancers, entrepreneurs, stay-at-home parents, college students, or anyone else who is willing to work variable hours and have weekend availability.  Also, able to work at least 2 Holidays a year.  

• Who we are looking for:

1. Candidates with excellent time management skills.  Dog walks can vary day to day between 2-7 walks per day. All visits are to be completed within a certain time frame.
2. You must be able to work independently, have good time management skills, & handle all types of breeds.
3. Strong communication skills are a must. This includes verbal and written. We communicate with our clients mostly through our pet journals that get sent out after every visit but on occasion we do speak with them one on one.   Plus, you will also be communicating with our other sitters.
4. We need candidates with strong animal intuition skills, who can handle big and small dogs, have patience, and can follow client instructions.
5. It is an absolute must to be an animal lover and have endless amounts of patience to handle all types of personalities.  If you do not have patience and a strong love of animals do not apply.

• Why work for us?

1. Independent work just you and a dog. They are the perfect pick me up if your having a bad day and they will listen without judgment.

3. On average you make about $15 an hour depending on the length of time each visit is.
4. On top of your regular pay you will earn tips, Holiday pay, & bonuses.
5. .25 mileage reimbursement
6. Paid CPR and Fear Free Certified training.
7. If needed paid additional animal training.
8. You will be covered by my liability insurance & bond.
9. Coming soon workers comp. & paid time off. 

• Additionally this is a physical job.  It requires a lot of walking in all kinds of MN weather.  Some dogs are easy walks and some pups have lots of energy and you need to be able to handle them all.  If you cannot deal with big, high energy, quirky (but fun) personalities,  or small bossy dogs this is not the job for you.   Personally, I love them all and love this job.
